How satisfied are you with your current job?

Nowadays, most people who work in multinational organisations are not satisfied with their job profiles.

Let’s see how satisfied you are with your current job.
  • ·         Do you want to travel that long distance to reach your office every day?
  • ·         Do you like the way you spend your whole day?
  • ·         Are you satisfied with the tasks you perform?
  • ·         Do you think that you are paid enough for the job you do?
  • ·         Do you get regular appreciation from your boss?
  • ·         Do you like the environment that you work in?
  • ·         Are you satisfied with the type of people that work with you?

If the answer to all the above questions is NO, you are clearly not satisfied with the job you have and you seriously need a big CHANGE.

Thomas Alva Edison failed thousands of times before inventing the light bulb, but, he never saw these failures as a disappointment. He only said “I have not failed. I have found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” A person’s satisfaction for a job comes only if he has given his hundred percent in performing the job. Otherwise, people only aren't satisfied if they don’t like the work they do or face minimal problems which they don’t want to counter.

Is satisfaction a necessity?

People who work in organisations think that job satisfaction is the most important thing a person needs while performing the functions of their job and they are right in each and every manner. But, job satisfaction is not the only thing that the people should have in order to justify their job. They need to have an interest in the job that they perform so that they can have their job satisfaction. They need to have a sense of responsibility and ownership towards the organisation and need to learn that the job that they perform directly affects the growth of the organisation.
